Am I going mad or just becoming completely intollerant of incompetance in my old age?
We can land men on the moon,produce test tube babies but words fail me at the inabilty of road gangs to operate efficient traffic management systems without bringing life for drivers and residents to a complete standstill.At 7.45 PM last night well after the going home rush I sat in a mile queue of traffic on the A346 Swindon to Marlborough road for 25 minutes trying to enter the town.The workforce were working but seemed oblivious to the fact that all the traffic was coming from the Swindon end and from the south the traffic was minimal. The traffic lights were totally inbalanced to the actual needs of the traffic flow, hence alot of very frustrated drivers.Where are the police when you need them to manage this mess? Surely these road construction companies have to comply with some rules so as to keep traffic flowing with reasonable normality.
Feeling better now.Rant over.Anybody else feel the same?
