True, wonder how long before they spoil this road with a 50 limit as they've done with the snake pass

I think this is a better road than its more famous brother the A537, far more challenging and with every kind of bend and camber to challenge you. Less traffic generally too I find.

I'm only half n hour away myself, its hard to resist popping up there every week

I agree. A real challenge and so much more to it than the C&F. There is a nice picture of a Mclaren F1 going round the hairpin by the little chapel thing in the book about the F1.
