I just wondered if anyone knew which "B" roads they tested the cars on. I've had a look at the photograph on page 63, and the route seems to go from Craven Arms to Abermule in Wales. The route they've drawn out on the map deviates from both the B4368 and the B4385 which would be the obvious routes to go through what seems like somewhere near Sarn. I'm not sure how accurate their map is - in some places it seems to go where no road exists!

Yes I wondered where it was, and judging by the signpost they left in one of the the pics in the feature, you could well be right...

I was archiving my car magazine collection in the loft yesterday (creak!) and I came across a "best roads in Britain" piece from an Autocar from last year. In the "best of the rest" section Steve Sutcliffe thinks the best road in Britain is the B4368 from Craven Arms to Abermule.

Case close

Cheers,

Andy.
