I'm taking the missus off for a romantic weekend away up in bonnie Scotland, I'm also hoping to get some hoonage in on some of the great roads up there. We're going to be be based fairly close to Mull and I was wondering if it's worth popping over to sample the roads? Thanks in advance for any feedback. smile

It's a lovely island, but most of the road estate is single track with passing places, so the hoonage potential is limited.

I disagree. Ever heard of "The Tour of Mull"?

If the roads are closed to normal traffic I'm sure much superb hoonage is there to be had. Most of the time it might be considered a little inconsiderate to drive like that however.

Agree - I was confused exactly what Evo were expecting to learn taking the likes of the Bentley Conti GT Speed there to test in this month's issue. Nice photos though.

Forget hooning. Go to enjoy the scenery. The main road across the Island and over to Iona is fantastic. Iona is worth a visit, too. Go there for the day and walk.

Well from the Sky coverage I saw of last years event, the roads were as previously mentioned, ie very narrow (mostly a single cars width) lots of nasty blind crests and definitely NOT suitable for responsible, fast, fun, hoonage.

As a special stage for rally cars perfect, but for road-going hoonage a nono

The roads are closed nowadays for the rally, but weren't in the past.
