I find that most of the "good roads" talk seems to centre on roads further up the country, so does anyone have any recommendations of any routes in Surrey that provide maximum enjoyment?wink

Google Maps routes would be great, too!

Good road known as the Pirbright Bends, from Mytchett to Pirbright, smooth twisty road great fun! biggrin
Be careful though quite dangerous and no places to overtake...

i can't remember the details (as I moved away from that area a while ago) but the roads from old woking to guildford are pretty good - don't go on the main stoke road - take the little winding lanes that come off (junction near the cattle market if going guildford to woking direction) - some great twisties there with a little hump back bridge too

also, some very good roads down the back of ripley and pyrford (where I used to live) - the run from A3 to the Anchor Pub (past RHS gardens used to be good).

Any chance you could pinpoint the Old Woking/guildford bits for me on Google maps? I'm not sure where you mean frown

I know Ripley though smile

hcanning, im in new haw too..

As for driving roads, the run i do enjoy (used to do offen, not so much now) was from addlestone down hardwick lane (nice bit of staight road)
through virginia water to callow hill (which at the right speed can test your handling!)
Through engliefield green to crimp hill (which has an interesting couple of corners that have had claimed a few front bumpers in the past)
Well it used to keep me amused on my drive home..

And i have seen Dizeee around a few times, normally in tesco filling station in brooklands

My house mate and I just tried your route in my MR2 (with some decent tyres at last!!) and found it to be good fun! We also found a little bit out by Datchet and off the m25 at junction 14 take the Terminal 4 Cargo exit then Stamford village sign. The slip road up to the round about off the M25 is fun and then the back lanes a giggle in the wet.

Thanks for the route!
