Leicester to Silverstone - Any decent raods?

As per the title. Are there any decent roads en route between Leicester and Silverstone.

M1, then A43.

M1 is super boring, then the A43 is good for a dual carriageway, with some fast bends and roundabouts. Watch out for the forward facing speed camera about 3-4 miles from the M1 junction though, plus another one after Silverstone.

Or maybe go down the Fosse Way, but leave it before you get to the M40 and have a cross country hack on some back roads across to Silverstone.
