A friend and I had the idea that we'd go for a hoon across london tomorrow, from Watford to Dartford, for example.

We know it's not going to be quite the same as a blast through some deserted twisty B roads, but it's a different experience, and we quite fancy it.

My question is, can anyone suggest a "fun" route, for this? Or is it just a case of charging right through the middle and enjoying the sights? wink

Any thoughts/insight would be great.

Cheers

Not sure of a fun route, but i do it quite regularly, from the other direction. Make sure you avoid the A5, its concrete city and always Chocka. I'd come in via Hyde Park, around Park Lane, down to Buckingham Palace, then Parliment Square, follow the thames from there, going past London Eye, London Bridge, Tower of London etc.

Depends what you want to see, but that should cover most of the interesting touristy things. whatever you do, don't go through the Blackwall Tunnel, you'll get stuck in traffic for hours going nowhere.
