Mrs Sider - can you pick me up..... in Wales

Get a phonecall at work yesterday - Mrs Sider, my other half.

Wants to know whether i can pick her and our little lads up tonight.

So, im thinking where. Maybe a friends? Maybe a restaurant? Maybe a kids play place?

No - BALA!!

First thing i thought was - no, that's a long way.

Then i thinks - yeah, but the weather is great and the roads are quiet.

And i was right!

Lovely drive to Bala, to pick her up from her Mum and Dad's motorhome. About 90 miles each way.

The parents have just got a new caravan (I'm ashamed to say!). They're going away in it this weekend... would I like to go and visit them in it? Would I fk. Oh hang on, where are they staying? Bala. I think I might be persuaded...

And i had the pleasure of seeing a Grinnall Scorpian and also an Astra VXR Nurburgring!

Just booked a holiday in Wales and staying in Bala. The wife is still wondering why we are taking my car rather than her diesel hatchback

Just got back from Bala after abandoning the folks there with their caravan. Planned on taking the fun route back over the B4391 but a combination of heavy rain, and having to be back early meant I had to come back along the A5. Heavy rain and lots of traffic going along at 40mph made for a very dull journey

Did you not know your wife was taking your kids 90 miles away ?

How did she get there ?
