Righto, finally got a car that's fun to drive, so where should I take it? I'm based near Cirencester, so I'm sure there's some epic roads round here somewhere, but I'm new to the area, so could do with some pointers.

Thanks.

I like the A429 road to Stow then the A424 and A44 to Broadway which takes you down Fish Hill. In the summer these roads can be busy but on a dry and sunny day in winter there great with light traffic and some great views.

My local roads, so the best ones are a secret! The road between Stow and Burford is good. Fish hill is great going up if there isnt too much traffic! Sometimes I go out just to drive the G33 up fish hill. Get it right and its very rewarding, get in almost right and its fun. Just don't get it wrong because it can go very wrong!

Dear God, man - are you telling me you haven't discovered the B4425 up to Burford?

Why are you still reading this? Get in the car and go...

From Stow on the Wold, heading towards Cheltenham. B4068 > A436. Where the A436 meets the A417 theres a pub on the top of a big hill which is the end of the fun but would be a good point for a break - if its still open

Also, from Stow on the Wold heading out on the B4077 towards Upper Swell. Keep going until Stanway, upto there it is brilliant.

Finnaly, B4035 from Banbury to Shipston. Cracker.

Run the length of the Fosse Way - might need false plates as the 100mph trip of the `70`s is now too often littered with 50mph scameras......

Was wondering what Fish Hill is like at the moment, snowbound / iced up? Planning on nipping down that way to Toddington this coming Sunday ;o)

Cheers, Nidge.

I have just been into Broadway but didnt go up Fish Hill, the roads in the village are fine and i suspect Fish Hill is too. Mind you, I wouldnt want to do it at the limit in these conditions

My stomping ground too. smile

Fish Hill is definitely an 'up' hill. I normally only go down it just to go all the way round the roundabout at the bottom and do it all again.

Agreed...up is very rewarding to get right. I like to see how close I can get my exit speed from the top bend to my entry speed into the first bend.
