Some of it appeared to be filmed on the Snake Pass.

There were lots of roads he covered in the Peak District around Buxton, Bakewell, Sheffield including the Snake Road (A57), Winnats Pass (A6187), A623, M1.

Most are part of my ever-expanding Oopnürthring.

That dam looked a bit like the one in the Elan Valley, but there again, one dam looks much like another I guess...

Correct, and there are a load of reservoirs around the Peak District too. Don't know exactly which one this was though as I'm normally going too quickly to notice the scenery ;-)

The dam would be either the derwent, or the one above it(whose name escapes me right now), but as has been said, snake pass, winnats pass, castleton, the road past mam tor to edale, some roads in bamford, between snake pass and the road to castleton and i am assuming from castleton towards buxton. As has been correctly mentioned, a lot of the roads feature in the oopnurthring, which you can find by scanning this forum

Just realised it was you asking si, and of course you would know about the oopnurthring from the stickers thing you did, d'oh!

Yeah the road goes past the ladybower towards derwent reservoir, which is the dam part, as the dam part of ladybower is in the village of bamford, and you cant actually get that close to it

Most of the roads are the ones mentioned... one of them is off the snake pass and upto derwent waters where the dam busters practiced. There is a section of road that is closed to car a lot, thats one of the ones they were on.

I know it's standard practice, but as someone who knows the area quite well, what was amusing was the chopping and changing of roads in editing.

May would be talking in the car on one road, there would be a panning outside shot with a voice-over on a completely different road and then return to the car in another location.

He 'appeared' to drive up and down the Mam Tor-Edale road a good few times.

That's what struck me too. One minute he was driving up the side of Derwent, and then cut away to somewhere totally different.

Oh and he was also driving on thr M1, around junction 31 I think wink
