You are joking, surely??

Kent is shite. Its got to have some of the busiest roads in the U.K.

You might want to try the Isle of Grain (near the coast only), otherwise avoid.

As a Kent resident, I can recommend the one as you get off the ferry at Calais and head anywhere.............

Bummer

Been living on the border of SE London and Kent in Bromley for a few years now and I was hoping to find some good roads mentioned on here

It seems that any interesting roads have been given silly speed limits, scameras, and they're all so loaded with traffic that you lost the will to live after a while anyway. There's a couple of roads round my way that were perfectly safe national speed limits that have been randomly slashed to 40 limits. Infuriating, now if I want to test drive a car at a reasonable speed I have to get all the way down to the M25.

the A289 used to be nice when it first opened about 5 years ago. Hardly any traffic, one police car a year etc etc.

I got 145-150 on 3 separate occasions
Now it has been scamera-ed

I disagree, there are plenty, you just have to get out there and find them. I went down the A262 past Goudhurst yesterday, that was an excellent road.

One of my favourite routes is to go past Ide Hill on the B2042, B2027, left onto the B2026, left onto the B2028, left onto the A264 until you reach Langton Green. You can stop at 'The Hare' and have a drink or some food (excellent grub).

Sometimes you strike lucky with routes sometimes you don't. Just get a good map and get hunting.
