Planning on taking my Scirocco for a blast tomorrow as i've got a bit of time off work.

EVO triangle is about 65-70 miles away (from Liverpool).

Any recommendations of decent roads a little closer to home - maybe a nice circuit ???

Thinking a 140 mile 'round trip for the EVO is a little too much for now.

The top of the Evo is only 45 miles (less than an hour) from the centre of Liverpool, but if you're worried about driving a few more miles, then I'd suggest staying at home tongue out

Weekdays (and early mornings) are the only time you're likely to have a clear run anyway, and there are loads of roads to chose from if you ignore the 'getting there & back' miles.

Changed my plans from a 'quick blast' to a 4 hour hooning session!

Decided on the EVO triangle after all. Had a search through the forum and was recommended the B5105 from Ruthin to Cerrigydrudion (right hand corner of the triangle).

Was about 3pm by the time i hit the B5105, runcorn bridge was rammed with traffic (5 lanes into 1).

Would definitely recommend the B5105 on weekday when it's clear (was clear for me) - plenty of tight twisties and some roller-coaster sprint sections. Only problem being the few over-taking points - if you know the road it would be fine.

Blipped 'round the triangle a couple of times and had a few brown pants moments when getting a little too cocky - ESP and ABS kicking in to halt any disaster.

170 miles - fantastic trip!!

I got stuck there the other Saturday returning from taking a VAV to pick up his car from the airport. Stil, it's a nice bridge to look at....
