What the best Route from Calais to Nuremburg?

Hi All,

I'm treating myself next week to a Long weekend at the Nurburgring as it's my birthday i've managed to pursuade the missus to leave the dogs and children at home and come along so i was wondering if any of you have some advice on the best route down there?

I've had a look on all the various nurburgring forums and they all have pretty much the same route but the roads i'm looking for are the unrestricted autobahns and was wondering if any of you had a specific route that you could make "significant progress" on without fear of the law?

this is probably a bit of a usual questin so apologies if this is a little old hat but i'd reallyt appreciate any advice.

For a start, don't go to Nuremburg, you'll be a long way from the Nurburgring. The quickest route doesn't involve autobahns. Why not go that way and satisfy your need for speed with a few laps of the 'ring?
