That's lucky - I was there late last week. Would have been gutted if it was shut.

Ditto that - we were there on the morning/lunchtime of Wed 16th and were enveloped by fog and drizzle most of the way; we tried again first thing Thursday morning en route to the Dolomites and had a totally different experience. Clear weather, clear roads, no traffic - magnificent.

Don't you just love the place . We arrived there mid October last year, cold but dry. The following morning we had 4" of snow!!! It was touch and go as to whether we'd get down or not, then all of a sudden it just cleared. Hector at the hotel said that it would be clear 1 kilometer down!!!
