Google directions says 2hr 47mins...

With some 'spirited' driving what is more realistic?

Not quite that fast as I was in the Caterham.

Ok. So under 2 hours could be possible without going silly.

Good news, thanks.

The A26 Calais-Reims Autoroute is called the 'Routes des Anglais'.

Some say it's because it is maintained using fines from all the spirited driving by English. You have been warned!

Was there a couple of weeks ago being followed by a convoy from the TVR S Series forum...
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

When we left the A26 to head to the pits there were some roadworks, so take care. Fortunately I had my satnav to guide me through but it got confused at one point when the new road didn't exist in it's database!

It's 2.25-2.5 hrs from Calais at a comfortable speed smile

No problems with any Gendarmes while we were there, although we did get several looks from them when at the toll booths. They tend to hang around in the parking areas at them but as long as you don't leave 2 black lines as you leave the tolls you should be ok.

Take care when returning to Calais - they are often waiting to catch those rushing to get to their ferry.

A couple of the cars thought there was a lightening storm inside one of the tunnels further into the trip but they were actually the speed cameras working overtime! Nothing through the post yet though.... wink
