Not sure of it's official designation, it's the direct (ish) route from Caistor (just off the M180) down to Horncastle on the A153. Cracking road, nice scenery, a little narrow in places but generally quite fast.

I used this route to go home when I was based at RAF Coningsby. Back then I knew it as the Caistor Rally, as on a friday night it was generally full of young RAF personnel hooning it back up north to get back to their respective girlfriends as quickly as possible (it was far quicker than going through Lincoln to get to the lorry-fest that is the A15)

Has anybody got any recent experience of this road ? Any speed cameras (there was none that I remember) any increase in regular traffic ?

I only ask as I'd like to use this route again soon to get to Lincoln instead of the more prosaic A1-A57 boredom trial.

Cheers.
