Road trip to Monaco

What a great story
loved it.
Also have to agree with you that once you've seen Monaco, that it. Was there this year and saw some of the best cars in the world. SLR Mclarens, and the 722's, and also the Bugatti Veyron Grandsport convertible. Also some of the views are just awesome.

Cheers guys, thought it would be useful for the people planning a trip of their own.

Ive just put together this rough map of where we went. Its not very accurate around the mountain passes of of the Fluella, Ofen and Stelvio pass but if you zoom in you get a good idea of the area and it wont let me cross the channel from dover to Dunkirk for some reason!

excellent report, great reading.

got some maps in front of me now and planning a very similar idea for a week in february. had thought of heading to gibraltar and back but monaco is a bit more realistic in that timescale. maybe in february i'll avoid yacht shows and race days [trying to think of plus points of going when it's cold!]
