1080kg seems very low, hOw have you managed that?
Love the car! Excellent work!
What would a standard one weigh?Love the car! Excellent work!
It makes the JCW Cooper S / Clio 200 / Focus RS / Fiat 500 Abarth look super lardy respectivly.
Mine is very light in the arse, are you planning on saving money with the "tri-pod" cornering technic

Do let us know how you get on.

We have got our full race spec EP3 (inc. sequential box) down to 973 kg (no fuel). We have taken out the standard tank and fitted a 40L race bag tank. OK we fitted fibre glass doors and tailgate and a polycarb screen. If we fitted a carbon splitter, fibre glass bonnet and removed a few other needless things I think we could get down to about 965 kg.
Nice fron splitter, where did you get it from?

A few questions on the splitter if I may:
1) what material is it made from?
2) How much does it weigh?
3) How far back under the engine does it go?
4) How much did it cost?
The reason for my questions is that we have a plyboard (don't ask please) one on our race spec EP3 and I want the driver to change it (after building the diffuser I told to fit yesterday....) to lighter one.

Looks like a wonderfully effective and simple/focussed project. That is a really well thought out approach to a reliable and quick performance tool .... Money and attention in all of the right areas, and not wasted on silly asthetics or magazine cover grabbing turbo conversions.

Tick the right boxes properly and you cab have a rather spiffing trackday weapon.
