£155 worth of turbocharged swedish 90's saloon

Head gasket was blown, now fixed. Plan is a FPT ecu, replace standard exhaust and maybe remap. There may be more in the future.

Drives alright, just a couple of knocks from the front that I suspect may be ARB bushes. Pulls well smile

Cheers guys, I think it was more of a luck thing. Right time, right place and all that. Gotta be said for a car that weighs the same as a small country it certainly shifts biggrin

Heres one, only small albeit.

Just a general clean up really, it cleaned up quite nicely for a car thats done 135k

Headlight wipers removed until I can fix the motors and a PH smiley will hopefully find its way onto the back soon.

Wee small update...After we used some of the steel seal stuff to get us from a to b for a while (it held on for 6000 miles which is not bad for a 'snake oil' product)It finally went big time

So decided to do it properly this time smile

All done now, I'm going to give it a clean and get some pictures up after smile

£155 is a bargain! If you only have to deal with a head gasket, then thats pretty good going smile

Sadly, I can see all Saabs taking a big hit in used values unless the company manages to recover and start building cars again frown

Yeah they all seem to be falling in value frown More cheap turbo saloons on the market though smile

Anyways, A couple more pics smile

Cleans up not bad for a car that's seen 140k

And my gauge fitting that seems to have been well received smile

Bargain, makes a T5 seem slightly more expensive. (But more reliable).

smile Oh yes, nods head in Churchill dog style.
Them things shift.
Unfortunately followed by the glug, glug at the pump!
Loved mine but 4 months was enough to spend at 20mpg on a good day.

I can get 33mpg combined with the Saab, on the flip side I can make the Instant cosumption bar disappear on full chat smile

Great VFM. shame about the head gasket, but for just £155, thats just a small thing really.
