Took me a few days to sort, but hope you like the picture of my new weekender - a 2005 TVR Tuscan Convertible. Fancied the convertible over the Targa as they only built 100 (or so). This car also has the Racing Green FFF engine fitted. Will upload a few more pictures once the car is valeted and detailed, but one of my mates took a picture up at the Breakfast Club this morning which I really liked. Completely different drive to the outgoing RS4, but looking forward to learning how to drive it (even if I did curb an alloy wheel yesterday )



I've also sold the L200 and bought myself a Audi A6 Allroad (2.7 BiTurbo) as my daily driver/barge. Lovely car with 1 owner, 70k and full Audi Service History - not bad for a 51 plate car. A touch thirsty, but should cover all of the bases as it will also be used as my shooting hack when the season starts in September. Had a look at a fair few, but most were leggy and abused. Petrols a lot rarer than the 2.5 TD's but also a lot, lot cheaper too (price difference buys a whole lot of petrol). Picture below

Lovely purchase mate, love TVRs and thats a really nice colour as well. We also have an allroad (2 actually) bloody awesome cars, we put 15k on one of ours in just over a month! We have the 2.5tdi though and thats thirsty, dread to think what the petrols are like lol

Not as big a difference as you think - I've hit 31/32 mpg on the motorway (75 ish), average 24/25 mpg around town. Major service due on Tuesday for the Allroad, so will find out if anything big needs replacing, but the service history is extensive and issues with the air suspension seem to have been sorted out (well, at £500 a corner I hope they have been sorted )

Oh that TVR is just divine. The Mk2s look even better than the originals IMO. I presume being a 2005 model it has the initial Tuscan 2 dash rather than the wavey dash?

our Dirv 2.5Tdi barely manages 30mpg, so im not shocked that you went the petrol way!

It's a wavey dash. Interior had to be a compromise. The Mk1's interior is a work of art and I prefer it to the Mk2. However, I much prefer the exterior lines of the Mk2 2, particularly the rear end.

Nice TVR!!

As for the Allroad, you need to sign up to an audi forum as soon as. They are great car but have some inherent problems. You do need to tyreweld your suspension bladders before they cause you problems.

Thanks fella - I have an independent Audi specialist on my doorstep who is a friend of a friend. Car going in tomorrow for a major service (and to sort an annoying oil leak)

We had problems with one of the air suspension legs on ours, can be a very expensive fix, we managed to get a salvage one for £165 but that turnout to be faulty as well (split across) Then My dad found an aftermarket set up which is about half the price and very good quality. So if you do have problems drop me a PM and I'll try and remember to ask him where he found it

Very nice! To be honest, I prefer the interior of the Mk2s as well as the exterior. Its perhaps not as outlandish, but to me it looks more resolved whilst still being unmistakeably TVR.

I also prefer the MK1 interior, Don't like the chunky "Cerbera" steering wheel in the MK2's all personal preferances.

I viewed a '97 Cerbera 4.2 this morning... Oh good lord. My resolve is weakened to the point of a deposit placement.

I am not really in a position to say 'don't do it' - given that I did it myself.

TVR being valeted and detailed today - at which point it will be properly 'my car'

On a less positive note - there is a gap on the drive where the Audi was supposed to be parked after returning from it's service yesterday. Let's just say that a £300 major service has turned into a £1000 + assault on my wallet.
