Pug 306 2.0 Hdi

Hi all,
After stacking the polo on a PH run, I have now got a Pug 306 2.0 Hdi. As new, it would of had 90bhp and app. 165lbs/ ft torque
Its done app. 150k miles but the engine still feels fairly solid. However needed 2 new front springs, set of rear discs & pads, new fuel filter and new centre & back box but these were easily sourced and fixed by me brother
Rides very well, alot smoother than the polo. Very much pleased with this find After using it for a while, I will look at replacing the following
-New turbo
-New high flow air filter (Pipercross or K&N)
-Uprated dics & pads all round (EBC or black diamond)
-Braided brake lines

Been considering one of these for some time now as they're nice and cheap, what kind of mpg are you getting from it??

I have no idea tbh, I have only driven it a couple times i.e. Lynn to cromer and back. However, I believe it will average app. 50mpg

Nice colour, but does need some different alloys to make it more manly. Interior looks in good condition.

I'd recommend Peugeot 306 Cyclones

They are from 306 GTi-6's look really nice IMO.

Cheers for the comments guys how much do you reckon a set of cyclone alloys will cost?

Ermm probably about £150-200 for a decent set, depends though you might be able to find a bargain on Ebay!

All clean now Polished the paintwork and windows (inside/ outside) using AutoGlym Producst ts and also got rid of alot of brake dusts/ muck which had been cacked onto the alloys. Just need to hoover the inside of the car now and will be looking tip top

Due to getting a back pay on the 25th July which I hope should be up to £800, I am looking at getting a replacement turbo as dont know how much longer the current one will last:-

Depending on how much I have left, I will either get a full set of Falken XE912:-

Just been delivered home is a new air intake; this one to be precise - http://www.pipercross.net/panelfilters/product.asp...

So hopefully get that fitted next weekend when home. Next little things on the list are:
-New NGK Glow Plugs
-New Oil & New Oil Filter

Good stuff with the filter, Hope its not oiled too much though as a K&N killed my MAF!

Not too sure how oily it is atm, not had chance to look at it yet. How did it mess up the MAF? :S

Oil & oil filter changed today. What a right pain in the ass it was to get to the filter, jack all room to move about but eventually got it off by using a device which went over the top of the filter and you tighten it using a spanner, so the tighter your turn the spanner the harder it grips it

Josh, I have just bought a 306 pretty much identical to this only its a 1.8 petrol with 66k on the clock. Decent cars for the money.

The oil messes up the reading and on my car caused the power delivery to be non existent until 2000rpm then everything came at once!

Also had new front passenger side wheel bearing changed and drive shaft gatter replaced as it was torn slightly.

Just back from Norfolk, car drove really well. Suprising amount of "pull" in 5th during motorway speeds.
Managed 355 miles on between 1/4 & 1/2 tank of derv, which I dont think is too bad.
