My Mk4 Golf GTI
Discussion
Hi There,
Just thought I'd share my new purchase, a Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8T in Flash Red, I have enjoyed every minute of driving it since I picked it up a few weeks ago.
It features some subtle modifications which I feel enhance the look and performance of the car.
-18" Mk5 GTI wheels with Black Sparkle Powdercoat / Flash Red Stripe and laquered.
-Lowered 30mm on Eibach Springs
-313mm Front Brake Conversion
-Milltek Cat-Back Exhaust
-4 Motion Rear Valance
-Forge 007p Diverter Valve
-TorqueTronix Remap to 197 BHP
-Genuine Recaro Interior with Armrest
-HID Headlight Conversion
-Kenwood DPX-504u Double Din Headunit
Some pics:

Hope you enjoy - comments welcome!
Thanks,
Adam

Nice, although I don't like the white PH sticker and the white VW logos on mud flaps it ruins the clean look.
I would black out the VW logos on flaps, get a black smiley and place it somewhere a little more discrete, it would then match the black centre VW badge on the boot.
All in my opinion ofcourse.
Great set of sensible upgrades though

I had thought of that although I liked how the white highlights break it up, perhaps that's what you don't like I would black out the VW logos on flaps, get a black smiley and place it somewhere a little more discrete, it would then match the black centre VW badge on the boot.

cheers mate, I like the sound of that - I presumed the standard GTI items were as smoked as they come
Hellas are aftermarket but they also make them for VW. The wood trim is another thing you can update. Have a look at Awesome GTI as they sell Anniversary brushed silver trim. Expensive but looks good. You might also like the R line gear knob or a 5 speed from a Bora Sport. Lots of options but you have a good base to start from. Get to Edition 38 too. That will fit in well
I thought that the mk5 wheels wouldn't fit the mk4 as they are a different offset or something like that.
What year is you car, I noticed that you have a/c other than climatic effort I have, yet you have recaros
as VW stopped putting them in the 18T after 02 and replaced them with VW sport seats.
I went for after market 17"in wolfrace for mine as I intend to revert it back to factory before I resell.
