Here are some pics of my new car.

Had a 306 GTI6 for the last 3.5 years and have been doing trackdays in it for the last 3. I have always been fond of 7 style cars, especially after starting the trackdays and seeing how well they actually go round the twisties. I have been getting the new car bug for a while now and a few months ago I made the decision its definitely new car time!

Spent a few weeks trawling the classifieds and forums, and after going to look at a few tigers a westfield popped up on the Westfield owners forum.

Went to view it a few days later and ended up making the long and luckily dry drive back from Northampton to Widnes in my new motor smile

Its a Westfield SEW, built in 2003. It has a Raceline ford Zetec 2.0 190bhp engine, LSD, and quite a few other goodies on it. Had some TSWs on it when I got it, I have since fitted the Compomotives, and I currently have a set of shiney new 13" Revolutions sat at home waiting for some R888s to get fitted smile

Enough from me anyway, heres the pics. Comments welcome.

Very nice, should drive even better on 13's as Comp MO's wouldn't be overly lightweight.

Lovely stuff, my dad has just ordered a new one - cant wait to help him build it!

Do you have any plans to change? Westfield do some lovely bits you could fit retrospectively...

Fyi - the major diff beween a Caterham and a Westfield is that the Caterham has live rear axle (i.e solid) where as Westfields are fully independent - Which IMO is far better and less twitchy on un-even surfaces

Looks great!

You'll be really chuffed when you change to 13's. I changed to 13's and saved 20kg of unsprung weight and I'm lead to believe those MO's are seriously heavy, so well chosen wheels, and you'd be looking at more than that.

The whole car will feel pointer, livelier and generally lighter on its feet.

Nedz, not yellow is it? Work near the memphes belle and seen one flying up and down the roundabouts a few weeks ago, sounded bike powers.

Mines an sew so it's actually got live axle rather than independent.

Not had those wheels with the r1rs fitted for long, but done a few trackdays on them in my 306 and was very impressed with them. Moved up from t1rs and the main difference was much stronger sidewalls. Handled very good in the wet too.

Payday tomorrow and the weathers just been on and is looking good smile might try and source some r888s and get the revolutions fitted smile

That could well be me! I very often end up round there and was there a few weeks ago blasting between the roundabouts! I mate of mine has a yellow megablade and lives in westbrook but he never gets it out these days.Have a look on my profile, there is a couple of pics, also if you look on my forums about 7 months back i posted a few pics and a bit of a write up in the readers cars section, see if you recognise it.

Having been out only a fortnight ago in a 145bhp striker I can tell why people love 7s so much. They really do fly!

Looks great.

That looks absolutely mint and with that much power I bet it doesnt half shift! Is it rude to ask the ball park figure of your purchase?
