Afternoon all.

After much deliberation i chose a 5 series i liked the look of and with as much history as possible. it's a 525d and yes it's like every other 5 series on the road. Very nice car to drive but economy not quite where i thought it would be.

what is economy and what were you expecting? is it auto or is it manual?

It's an auto and i'm getting high 20's around town and about 34 on a run of about 30 miles to work.

Nowt wrong with that when (imho) its one of the best looking beemers ever. Bloody gorgeous, love the E60 yours being a fine example, although thread NEEDS MORE PICTURES! in (a long long distant) time it will be a (warp factor of 10) future classic

I shall remedy the lack of pictures fairly swiftly. Thanks for the comments. I know it's just another 5 series. The wheels are what make it i guess.

Ironically i hated this shape of 5 when it was released.

Seems a bit low for the run, the 6 cylinder petrols can do that without trying...

That's what i thought. Maybe it's me that needs to adjust to driving an auto?
