Picked up my Caddy on thursday afternoon, after trading in my old Combo. Its not the greatest spec but was tidy, pretty low mileage and ment I could get rid of the combo!
Here she is a 2007 2.0sdi with 64k on the clock.

Having put down a depsoit last week I had started stockpiling some bits ready for the pick up! First off was to sort the rear cabin.
Before (tidy but soon to change!)

I then removed all the ply to find the dirt!

All clean!

Then trimmed the floor in lino and the walls in black carpet

As the van came with glass rear windows I had got some VW solid rear window guards ordered from TPS to help keep the contents safe!

Whilst doing the interior bits I also did a few basic external changes
Started with the front indictor bulbs, I hate the orange bulbs showing!!

I also removed the rear wash wiper to be replaced with a tap blank and removed the badges.

Today I gave the van a good detail, again no real pics as the battery was flat and the weather wasn't looking great.

Also trial fitted my personal plate which should hopefully be back on after the transfer next week and added a web address to the rear.

My bro is sorting some photoshops of possible sign writing ideas and then once I have decided what to do I will get my mate to make them up for me.
Tomorrow I hope to get a bit closer to finishing getting everything mounted in the back and hopefully get my handsfree installed.

Picking up a set of 17'' RS4 reps off a mate for free, just need a bit of a refurb, got a set of tyres I can use on them. Hopefully get them this week and start on the refurb. Eventually I want a set of BBS CH reps and coilovers on it!
Need to get my bluetooth wired in and possibly put my alpine stereo with ipod in aswell, but quite like the look of the standard head unit.

When we loaned a VW Caddy. I really liked the stereo. It has much bigger buttons than my dad's 2010 Citroen Berlingo 1.6 which have small and fiddly controls IMO.Is there a IPOD socket that can fit into the glovebox/somewhere similar? It would look a bit nicer than an aftermarket stereo IMO. Just a thought.

I'm no expert but I have heard that some alloys don't have a high enough load rating for vans, probably ok in your case but perhaps worth checking just to be sure. I suspect someone knows this issue better than I.
Your right, I ran various sets of alloys on my last van with low profile tyres and never had any problems, there are loads of caddys running reps so shouldn't be a problem. Will have to see what they come out like after a refurb.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
