2011 Ring Car - Almera GTI

Hello All,

I am off to the Nurburgring with friends early september and myself and friend have bought our 'ring car' - a Nissan Almera GTI. After the last two years trips we decided to try a hot (tepid) hatch rather than the previous barges, a 3.0v6 omega and a 3.0 v8 530 BMW.

It is a bit of a shed but mechanically sound, has a full striaght through exhaust system, performace manifold of some sort and a cold air feed/induction kit. She also has had all suspension components and bushes refreshed, 4 new tyres, new clutch and a serious service by previous owner so should be up to the job!

Anyway here she is, of course with a massive great smiley slaped on the side!

Thanks! I was impressed with the handling as well, i wasn't to sure what to expect but it seems spot on for a cheap car for the ring!

Hello all,

I made it back from the ring, it was a great trip and the almera performed brilliantly! She could have done with a bit more power for the uphill sections but handled very well and kept up with a lot more exspensive cars! I am already looking forward to and planning next years trip!

There's one of these round the corner from my house.At first I thought it was all show and no go(big alloys,bodykit etc.)but it performed well at the local drag races.Looks like good performance for the money.
