I always wanted an E36 M3, finally got one last week. Here are some crappy pics of it on my drive last night:

There's quite a few bits and bobs I want to sort on it, the plan is to get it in the air tomorrow and make a list of what needs doing. For the moment though it definitely needs the front suspension sorting, it handles like a 3 legged dog being so low, our 328 running Bilsteins and Eibachs would tear it new ahole down a back road. Luckily I've got some Eibach springs to go on this too smile. It's booked in for an alignment Wednesday so I'll fit the springs on Tuesday.

I'm also planning to strip the inlet down and check for leaks/clean the throttle bodies and test the VANOS solenoids whilst I'm at it.

Other issues so far are an assortment of broken clips and the odd missing bolt. According to INPA it looks as if the MAF is knackered and the VANOS growls something rotten! I'm not overly concerned though as cosmetically it's very good and that's the bit I can't fix myself!

looks good.. I'd be tempted to leave the roof how it is as it looks rather suttle imo - not worth the hassle removing

Whoops, posted this topic under my OH's profile.

Cheers for the comments though, it is a nice looking motor smile

I'm unsure on the roof for the time being, it doesn't look too bad but I may change my mind and rip it off at a later date. Not sure on the wheels either, I'm thinking it should be on a set of contours.

Did a little work on it today, stripped the inlet down and cleaned the throttle bodies and linkage up, the accelerator feels much better now. Can't wait to get the front suspension raised though!

Very nice saloon you've got there, in a nice Q-car colour too! Also keen on the 328 sport, another nice bit of kit.

Very nice motor, really want to own one one day especially a saloon, not too many good ones left now which is a shame, nice to see one with Sunflower wheels.

I recognise this car - did you buy it from Lincolnshire? I'm sure I've seen it about locally a couple of times and shared a nod/wave with the previous owner.

I do like E36 M3 saloons. Nice car.

wavey

Mine now! cloud9 Absolute beauty - handles absolutely brilliantly. Is the set-up yours, or an owner after you?

...I think it's due some new front end suspension bits soon. Developing a bit of a knocking sound.
