My lovely new Alfa!!
Discussion
Well I finally collected her last night from the Ace and I still have not stopped smiling!! I have always thought how special can the really be....the answer is f**king loads special, the noise, the feel, the looks and again the noise!!
I do have a different exhaust on her so it's a little unfair but she has a lovely bark to her, bellow like when you start moving through the gears and a Ferrari type howl up the top end!! All I can say is wow!! But when you just want to cruise around it's nice and hush hush
Then to how she feels...she handles much nicer than I was expecting, much smoother than my QV anyway! You also get more feel through the steering wheel so it feels more like a QV than a standard 147 so I am proudly surprised
The interior is also very sexy, a lovely place to be and spend time. She's got plenty of kit like climate control, Bose stereo, heated seats etc etc, after being used to a rather loud, firm and boring place to sit it's totally spanking!
Then onto how she looks, I have always viewed the normal 147 as being a bit chick, bit too women like but with the BiG bumpers and stupidly flared wheel arches she looks very grr, much more than I remember tbh!
And finally some pics, this is just after a quick wash and still needs a proper good detail

And the rather naughty exhaust...I'll grab some video clips when I can

If you got any questions feel free to ask and any comments welcome

I had one exactly the same as that. Maybe it is my old car - does it have a Q2, 330mm brakes and a Ragazzon exhaust?

nice i love these, a guy a my local club had a supercharged one...... good god was that quick!!
Oh I think I know the one, was it White with the 18" multispokes? Red looks lovely anyway OP - is that exhaust the Unicorse replica from Pud/Wizardofoz? They do sound pretty mental!
Without wanting to teach you to suck eggs, a few important things with GTAs - get a Q2 if it hasn't already, massively improves traction. Check the oil frequently and don't skimp on any work! They're fantasticly reliable if looked after well, but aren't cheap to run

Best of all - enjoy it. I still maintain that, despite the fact it cost me a fortune, my 147 GTA was the best car I've ever owned.

It's not your old one as it's nearly standard apart from a different exhaust made my 'the wizard', the Q2 will be done soon though with a full belt change with the water pump

I think the white one was probably mine, 3.7 not S/C - there's quite a few S/C ones knocking about. Was the one in question Black? If so that was 3.7 S/C, he does the rounds at quite a few shows.

Love to go for the 3.8 conversion from AHM but that's serious ££££££
I know about all the upgrades that need to be done so that's all next, I made sure that my budget for the GTA included money for work and anything else

What are the mangolestsi stickers on it? I'v seen them on quite a few Alfas, and some Fiats. Are they something special like a cloverleaf edition, with minor upgrades or is it simply the a sticker from dealership they came from?
The stickers are from a dealer, I'll take off the one on the hatch but I'll keep the window sticker I think

It's a dealership who seem to put stickers everywhere sadly.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
