Hi,

I got this rig couple of months ago in a poor state really.. Technically it was fresh (60k miles year 1993 - engine very smooth) But it had loads of small flaws..

  • *MANY PICS ADDED BELOW***
Fuel rail and injectors leaking, bonnet had a awful HUGE scoop, interior was silver with gearknob falling off, gaskets dead (exhaust,turbo-elbow), turbo holding onto 2 bolts... So I started bringing the car to resurrection. The wheels were a disaster - 19 inch kerbed and rubber cracked.

Gaskets replaced, some small cracks welded, headlights replaced, hks evc boost controller added, meister coilovers added, rota wheels 17 9.5 et12 allover added, old interior ditched away - replaced by gtr vspec seats and black matte trim (doors/dash), new steering wheel/gearknob, injectors resealed, rust inside of the boot taken care of, new bonnet... All interior cleaned twice biggrin and spoiler thrown away.

I'll write a speclist but will keep it short.

Nismo 400r wheel arches;
Rb25DET with stock internals - gaskets (head/turbo/elbow) replaced recently;
Stock Turbo 45v3 running .7 bar;
FMIC;
HKS EVC III boost controller;
NGK Grade 7 Spark Plugs;
GTR Clutch;
Fuel Pressure Regulator;
Blitz Sonic Induction;
Walpro 255L/H fuel pump;
XSP Pro Full decat 4" exhaust;
Greddy fuelrail with 444cc injectors;
GreddyStyle plenum;
Meister Zeta R Coilovers (adj);
Rota GridDrift Rims 17 9.5 ET12;
Gtr V-spec seats,
OMP Targa steering wheel,;
Razo gearknob;
New Battery;
Hydraulic Handbrake

Added some pics of the car BEFORE.. e.g. right after I bought it, so you can have a laugh..

It came with an awful bonnet with a massive ugly scoop with small vents on both sides, that made me mad.. On the pic you can see That thing. Also my friend James carving the scoop off smile

nice car. i miss my r33 gtst the most out of any car i have owned and thats quite a few cars.
not quite sure where you got the 1.8 ton bit from though? these are 1363kg in standard fettle and even if you put bigger wheels and fmic and so on you won't get over 1500kg at all! the gtr is 1584kg with its 4wd and two turbos and higher deck 2.6 block.

Makes you think what on earth the previous owner was thinking?? Certainly not form over function, or vica versa, or in fact at all!

Fantastic colour on it, makes a chanmge from white!

Think it does need a spoiler though in that colour, but that doesnt change the fact it is a very cool car, they are great fun to drive as well.

Definitely needs the spoiler. An original might be hard to source, but there should be plenty of options from the likes of Nismo out there that could be sprayed up professionally for a good colour match, or a carbon-fibre effect item would look good.

I'd get a lip spoiler.. Don't want a GTR one.. The are too generic.

Added some more pics of certain stages of improvement and broken bits replacement... (Pics from last 2 monthssmile

These were the sparkplugs inside when I got the car... Goblin porn.

Stock shocks.. Well, almost dead smile

Inerior halfway.. I ditched away stock gts seats, they smelled and were awful.. Cleaned all floor/rooof liner.. Found some Japanese coins under the rear seats smile))
Old silver dash trim looked chavvy.. As well as GTR gaitors in white biggrin

45V3 turbo - good condition.. Had oil inside the shaft, nothing major - the ex owner made a mess while installing the oil catch tank so the circulation of oil was wrong way around biggrin

A crack on the floor.. Right below driver's (my) butt... The bolt which held the seat provoked it.

Taken care of... Weld'em good smile

Before... Rust inside the boot. nothing to worry about, just 2 hour work.

After... sanding/priming the boot area... Rust must go away!

The condition of one rim on my old wheels when I got the car... Ex owner was a good driver indeed.

Old dash trim taken out.. New black - on the way smile

Intercooler pipe.. Had a nice airleak...

Cant's help it biggrin I love this exhaust and it's sound!!

James happy to carve the scoop and vents off the chavvy bonnet! Look at his enlightened face biggrin

New steering wheel... Candy.

Door trim. Was silver as well.. So I sprayed it matte black to match the dash surround.

Gtr Vspec seats installed.

Probably a GTS-T. There's one up the road from me, it's very rough though - needs new front wings, rear arches, bootlid and by the looks of it a new interior - very scruffy.
