Hi All, been a long time reader of Pistonheads thought is was about time I signed up and said hello.
I have been the proud owner of a E92 M3 for the last 3 weeks and I’m loving every minute of it. I’ve made a few small tweeks to the beast, black grills, new CIC controller, I also have a BMW Performance steering wheel (the one with the shift lights) to fit soon.
Happy days, oh and goodbye petrol !!
After years of not quite understanding peoples love of the BMW M engines I’m well and truly on side now!

Are you sure that the BMW Performance Steering Wheel is suitable for a Manual car? I was told that it was only suited to the DCT??
Hopefully it does both! I have a Manual, but really like that steering wheel!
Yup definitely works fine on a manual, I believe the DCT wheel is a different part numberHopefully it does both! I have a Manual, but really like that steering wheel!
Here is a video from youtube (not me) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRPzmxyYVCs&fea...

Lovely. What's the CIC??
Black grill looks good. Would like to see the new wheel in action, any videos?
CIC (Car Infotainment Computer) is just the new iDrive system, I have the older CCC (Car Communication Computer) unit.Black grill looks good. Would like to see the new wheel in action, any videos?
The new system has a better screen, HDD rather than DVD sat nav and a much better controller
If you have the latest firmware on your car the new CIC controller is totally plug and play for the older CCC cars. Found a new unused controller on ebay and order the new centre trim from BMW, 5 min job and done
Please note I'm not spending £2000 getting the whole system changed!! just the controller is fine
CCC on the left, CIC on the right
