this is my 2008 vauxhall corsa vxr, had for just over two years and love it!

I thought i would add a few pics to show you my car and tell you what i have done to it so far smile

this is the car the first summer i had it, all standard pretty much but nice and clean

and this is it now, doesnt look alot different but i have done a few things

modification so far.

Bastuck downpipe and back box
ITG panel fiter
front splitter
Remap (220bhp)

my latest investment was a Carbon fibre rear diffuser, which im very happy with as they are very rare for these cars

comments welcome smile

I see you have only done power mods so far when the downfall with most modern Vax hothatches has been getting the precise handling of their Ford and Renault rivals.
How do you find the car in comparison to these in that department? Also what did you try as an alternative when buying?
I do like the Corsa VXR though and im a sucker for their blue!

Any concerns about the 4th piston?

yer the only problem i have with that is my drive, as my front bumper is only about 2 cm away from grounding out when i drive up it, otherwise i would lowered it. the corsa seems the same really as the others if not a bit better, as one of my mates has a 182 and the other has a fiesta ST and i find it rolls less than theres on the twisty stuff. but the extra power does sometime just spin up but only in the wet really, in the dry its pretty planted.

not had any 4th piston issue i believe this is cus i let the car warm up and cool down when ever i drive it so helps it out smile

Try getting proper and legal numberplates.

Yeah those illegal numberplates certainly don't help a car that already has a bit of a problem with the young barry-boy image. Otherwise, not a bad looking car, it's just the plates that are gash.

Have to agree with the other guys though adam. I didnt comment on them but I would stop you for them if I saw you out. Change them to legal ones and save yourself some hassle.

Welcome to PH. wavey

I actually prefer the Corsa VXR to the Astra VXR but then again, I have always been a Vauxhall Fan-Boy though. They look ace in blue!

Yours looks mint aswell.. biggrin

Regards the plate, I like them. They are illegal but IMO its a small trivial thing and as you haven't been pulled over in 2 years it wouldn't bother me.

Enjoy! thumbup

Nice little motor, very clean by the looks of it.

Test drove one before the s2000, liked it but I hated the gear change. (was lowered and handled like a go kart, recaros really held you in place).

Really like the carbon diffuser subtle but effective, what its like to live with on a daily basis with regards to things like economy and usability of the power.

Quite smart, but the dodgy number plates do spoil it for me. I'd be worried about it melting a piston with thoe power mods it has. It's a nice little car though, a fitting little brother to the Astra VXR.

Nice, quite refreshing to see one in black rather than the usual blue or red.

I really like these and considering one as a next car... I'm kind of missing forced induction.

Yours looks really nice mate, can I ask what's wrong with the number plates!?

Vauxhall are currently doing the Nurburgring one with splitter, 200bhp and minging wheels on 0% finance.

If I were in the market to buy a Corsa VXR, I wouldn't ...... For the same money you can get the quicker (above 60) Astra that has a bigger boot and alot better engine IMO, prefer the looks of the Astra aswell. If buying new the Corsa makes more sense but second hand they are to similarly priced.

I prefer the Corsa, I like the Astra but the Corsa VXR is so much rarer.

I also prefer the interior in the corsa (by a massive amount... the astra is horrid... the seats in the corsa are beautiful!).

I also prefer the smaller car.
