MG ZR Track car project.

Which engine is it, 1.4 (105), 1.8 (120) or the 1.8 VVC?? If the latter then definitely an excellent base for a track car.
"Treated" myself to one of these for my 21st in 2004, same colour as well, great little car and I've always thought they would make a good stripped out track car. Good luck with it, make sure you keep this updated!!

Cool stuff mate. This is mine:

Fantastically rapid on track, as the owner of the Gallardo at Snetterton the other month will pay testament to.

Plan is pretty much the same as other track cars on here, but to the MG ZR Trophy race cars.
Are you going to be entering the MGCC or MGOC Championships next year then? Its a 160, size of front disks, the alloys and the stance is slightly lower than a 120(awaits to be proven wrong) [/geekmode]
Very nice car tho, I hear nothing but good things about the handling out of the box on them and the VVC engine is great fun to rev just make sure it goes upto the 7200rpm redline as if it stops at 5500rpm then you have a problem with your VVC mechs.
O/T: if you do strip it, could you drop me a message about how much you want for the interior as I have a few mates after that style of seat...

Saw your car on here before looks great. Bit of a winning history, if its the car i think it is?
I'd like to enter one of them, depends on budget and working commitments. Trackday trophy or even just to learn on trackdays without worrying about smashing up my daily driver!
Yeah thats the one. Would have loved to have gone the route you're going and build my own, but with relocating and a new job etc, it just wouldn't have proved viable.I'd like to enter one of them, depends on budget and working commitments. Best of luck with it though, they really are a cracking little car.
