Gone all chav Saxo VTR

Hopefully I won't get shot down for my purchase. Payed £750 for it. Has done 85.000 miles lots of old mot, receipts. last 12 months it has had quite a lot of work done. Tax and ticket till march. All standard apart from a after market air filter (sounds nice) and sony cd player.

Jobs to do.

1. Cambelt
2. attack a bit of rust under the ecu, nothing bad by i'll sort out before it's a problem.

Good shedding. I don't think you'll get any stick for that, it's an understated colour and with the OEM wheels and facelift lights looks good.

As said before, just don't barry it up!

Had a mk1 VTR a few years ago but ended up spoiling it by messing with the rear beam and adding subs etc! Thankfully them days are long gone! Not many standard examples around these days and that looks like a good one!

I was just looking at these for a cheap runaround, had a T reg one many years ago and it was perfect around town with enough go for it not to be a chore. and amazingly cheap for a good one from what i've looked at

Rare find a almost standard Saxo! Good stuff nice little motor plus a bargain - happy motoring.

Been there and still doing it with Saxos. Theres a chap on the Saxo forums selling a S2 106 Rallye engine, which is the same as the VTR's lump, only slightly more fruity. £100 and pretty much plug and play. It also looks completely identical to all but the expertly trained

What's your insurance like? The VTS is everything the VTR is, but with a proper engine. The VTR is still a good old bus though. They're cheap to run, easy to fix and contrary to what the majority of PHers would say (because they're French no doubt), they're pretty reliable.

Just watch the rear beams, gearboxes and rot around the floorpan on the jacking pads. They like to rust, these cars.

Relaible? No. Practical? Hardly. But the most fun car I've ever owned!
