Hi Gents,
I have re-joined with a different username,previously AshBaldry.
Here is my most recent purchase a 1996 Escort RS Cosworth in Ash black, how fitting wink
I have been to a few sunday services before but mainly attend the breakfast meets at the five bells, chailey!
I have owned the ''cossie'' for nearly a month, bought just before christmas from way up north in Middlesborough. Have a few plans to put certain bits to standard, those of you in the know will recognise it as a small turbo,it will never be making 500bhp power figures, its fairly unplayed with and thats how i would like it to stay. Mongoose de-cat and Evoloution chip are all that have been changed engine wise, its got 18' Engels currently fitted also, with morette lights.Plans are to look after it,attend a few shows, primarily Ford orientated ones. I previously owned a FRS Mk1 which is somewhere on here,as is my Clio Trophy and Fiesta ST. Have had it recently machine polished and it came up very well!
Enjoy the photo!
Ash

Its the most expensive car i have ever had in my garage! I believe production on these stopped in October 1996? This was registered in August so nearly/sort of one of the last, not that i know how many were being made a month! Its also a LUX model so has the leather interior, also ford tape and CD player smile

Very nice, small or big turbo?

I used to have the production numbers for the Escort Cosworth around somewhere but I can't find it at the moment. I was under the impression a very small number of cars had been registered in 1996 (as little as 26?) but that could just be the last month of production.

Lovely car, but I've never liked the Morette lights. Do the front end no favours IMO.

Small turbo's tend to be rarer these days too! (I think paperbag )

My thoughts also! Once I can find a set of cosworth lights/xr3i lights then well be away!

Looks very nice. Used to dream of owning one of these when I was younger! Still would like one now as a weekend toy. They seem to be going up in value now and have been for a while so at least you won't loose any money.
