Much better than standard but I gotta say you're mad for spending £3600 already and what will be over 4.5k in the end on a Mk1 Punto.

For £1k as a snotter can't go wrong but there are better cabs and cars out there for close to 5k!!!!!

I actually rather like these in standard form. Audi A3 Cabrio and new Golf Cabrio have similar rear end treatments too (short bootlid design).

Bet it won't be cheap to insure once you've declared all the mods though, and as others have said, spending that much money on such a low value car is bonkers. You could have had an Audi 80 Cabrio, Saab 9-3, 3-series etc for £3.5k, or any number of 2 seat roadsters.

Still, diversity is the spice of life, and what you've done so far looks to be well thought out and to your g/f's liking

Nice motor for £1000, like what you've done with it.

They do have the most laughably wobbly chassis though - i remember sitting in the back as my mate's missus drove hers down a particularly bumpy Essex back-road being able to visibly see the body flexing from where i was.

I think it looks ok, the wheels suit it well and so do the seats.

What a transformation! Without it looking barryboy ish. I really like it its unique. Other people on here need to realise, not everyone is so hooked up about cash,if we were all the same, you'd never see anything different,like this punto.

I've gotta say I quite like it, it's different, it's not OTT and it's obviously being looked after by someone who loves it. If we all drove different price range Mx5's the world would be a dull, dull place.

....having said that I prefer the standard headlights!

There is no HIDs in the lights, you can see it is jut halogen light coming out of the projectors!

I strangely like the look of this though, not a fan of how much it has cost, but appreciate what you have done!

As for the money comments - lot's of us i'm sure have spent more money than is wise on an a car (or is it just me). Would be pretty boring world if we all did the sensible thing.
