Not sure if I updated my last M5 thread but I sold that a few weeks back and was going to have something sensible for a bit until I graduate from uni in a few months.... That lasted a couple of weeks until an RS4 cab came up in the exact colour spec I could possibly want! (Its a car high up on my list of WANTED cars!)
More pics will follow as I have ordered lots more detailing products to get this to my very high standards. The car is unmarked but I want to give it a full protection detail to maintain the stunning paintwork. I would say its in even better condition than my M5 but it is low mileage and has always been garaged.
The car is fully loaded with the Recaro bucket seats which is quite rare in the convertibles and it has the added benefit of still being under Full Audi warranty as the person I bought it off had bought it as an approved used car and it has never been out of warranty so is perfectly maintained. Idea is to keep it until mid summer, as most on here know I don't keep my cars long.
The V8 noise is incredible with the roof down I have timed my purchase perfect with the sunny weather
Jobs to do so far:
Full detail including wheels off.
There is a couple of tiny paint chips on the huge front callipers so want to touch them in.
Cleanse and condition/protect of soft top.
Leather clean and condition
replace slightly oxidised RS4 badge on steering wheel (very fussy i know)
Take to Audi for a full health check as its under warranty if anything is picked up its done free of charge

Still at Uni? Jesus I thought I was pushing it being a student with a measly 330i. 
Stunning car though mate. My Mum's got a S4 Cabrio, it's so much better having convertible just to hear that glorious V8.
Can I just ask one question? How have you managed such a nice car so soon in life? Any tips so I can afford trade mine in for an M5 would be appreciated.
I dislike Audis and softops, but the idea of having the V8 from the RS4 in a car like this sounds great (and I bet it does in real life!)
I'd love to hear any driving / living with impressions tranter5 - I bet it's a great car to run on a day to day basis.
Oh and despite having plenty of many-millions rich kids on my course at uni - nice car.

I will update my driving thoughts when I have got some miles under my belt... Please don't think that I am the same as the ones on your course you talk of, I have the same on my course, a couple of lads with r8's their parents have bought them. one with an F430! they drive posing out the front of campus and the student union on a daily basis. I have worked extremely hard to get where I am I don't have a rich family lol even slightly...I'd love to hear any driving / living with impressions tranter5 - I bet it's a great car to run on a day to day basis.

I can't remember I was searching for a car to buy my dad the last few weeks and did enquire about some Z4's got him an S2000 GT in the end... if you don't ask you don't get Z4 'tomorrow'. Are you always that cheeky? :-)

the same questions been asked in all my previous threads lol the main factor has been from starting with £2000 at 17 and trading up from a ford fiesta MK6 I have had 18 cars now I think (must update garage in detail) and only made a loss on one (an absolute dog, my fault completely for buying in the dark!) I have just done it as a sought of hobby/challenge on the side of uni and its gone better than I thought it would. I have now gone self employed and will be doing this full time when I graduate as I am an absolute petrol head! I think there is more secure money in other jobs I have been offered BUT they are boring 9-5 office jobs in dull sectors plus I don't think I could work for someone else.Stunning car though mate. Hey I always wondered about true life 'wheeler dealing' so well done. If your at an Audi RS4 now, where are going to be by the time your 30? I don't think ferraris are out of the question unless houses etc come into play. Can I suggest a GTR next? Their second hand prices are looking good. Must be some bargains.Well done!

I only ever use Admiral except for when I had my TVR.... admiral are absolutely incredible on price no one can come close to the admiral, elephant etc on price. If a woman hadn't reversed into me in my mondeo I used as a daily hack last year it would have been £581 on this car at 22! but with a non fault claim its £826.27 yet the S2000 I bought my dad to add me onto the policy to use that occasionally would have been £2100 extra (with admiral) its weird but faster more expensive cars are cheaper to insure with admiral than say your civic type r's, E46 M3's. My M5 worked out at nearly £2000.May I ask who your insurance is with for all these cars? Can't be cheap!
I only have one years no claim too as I change cars so often I end up cancelling policies usually before the year is up although the RS4 is now on a 10 mont bonus accelerator.

I keep holding off the GTR I have almost bought one twice now in the last 6 months but I think when the first 09 cars come out of warranty in June time the prices will drop. Maybe next time I will get one but I think once I have owned one anything I buy after is not going to perform to a similar standard until much larger amounts of cash are spent! House will be purchased next year once I have a years books from my business to be mortgage eligible...Well done!
