As My M5 finally started to fall apart at 218K, i happened to be up at CPC in Amersham where we were discussing 8 Series and the Bork factor associated with them, Them Phil piped up 'Aussie Pete has got one in his garden'

And he did :

One owner from new, full BMW service History, 4.4 V8 and bought for the princely sum of £3250. Did I mention it had 208K on it? It needed a bit of bodywork and 2 new rear tyres, however as part of the deal i insisted some proper Alloys were put on it as well. I picked it up a week or so later and was amazed at how it drove considering the milage, straight up to Phils and apart from a squeeky fan and a couple of bushes, it needs pretty much nothing.

A small buble of rust above the drivers side on the roof by the windscreen was a concern but the bodyshop sorted it out as well as take the nasty spoiler off.

However, after it came back from the bodyshop I noticed the Passenger A pillar was wet, and had been for some time, that bubble of rust should have warned me.

A Quick call to PH's very own Glassman who popped round and whipped the screen out and, Bad news frown . A Major firm of Auto Glass Techs had installed a screen 5 years ago and failed to seal it properly, The whole top of the screen mount was rotted out. And thats where that bubble of rust had come from, Booo.

Back to the bodyshop it went who repaired the screen mount and front of the roof for really not alot of money and Paul (Glassman) came round (if you ever need screen work done I cannot recommend him enough) and popped the screen in and here we are today :

Which brings us onto the latest Arrival:

After many years of Chimaera ownership, with a young Family it simply was not getting used anymore, 100 Miles was the extent of use in 2011! Following a little arm twisting by my Missus (she's great!) it was decided we should sell it and Buy a Cerbera so it would actually get used.

The Chim :

Which now resides in the ownership of PH's very own Noisey. As it happened he had a Cerb 4.2 which now resides on my driveway :

William does not look too Impressed :

Paul 'Noisey' V swapping the spiders for my set of Racelines :

Really enjoying it, Many thanks to Paul for the work he put into the car before we took ownership.

Two beautiful thirsty cars you have there!

Great taste, but do you have shares in BP/Shell etc?

Two very cool and very nice looking cars. Love the BMW especially. Should be nice editions to your fairly ridiculously interesting collection smile

Love the 840i, Hadn't realised you'd had the spoiler taken off and swapped the wheels. Looks much better for it.

Knew I liked that colour - someone on here has a Readers' Cars thread on an E46 M3 in the same hue. It looks equally mindblowing on that, too.
