Right I thought it was about time I started up another build thread.

This is Mx5 number 4 for me. (apparently Twin Turbo FD Rx7's are expensive to run on a student budget! lol)

Quick history lesson. This was Number 1. A white '90 UK car. It ended up looking like this:

Then was number 2. A rather big step up to another UK Mk1. But this was a late '98 car, with a Jackson Racing supercharger, wide arches XXR wide wheels, TRlane roll bar.... basically ended up being a pretty specced up example:

Then after trying some other things, came back to the Mx5 fold with this. A '02 Phoenix Special edition Mk2.5:

Right now onto the latest one. This is a 1996 Mk1 S-Special Type II. Now I have tried to do a bit of research on ClubRoadster and the like. And can't seem to find many other S-Spec's in White. Maybe some of the [s]geeks[/s]/enthusiasts on here will be able to help out wink I bought it completely standard towards the end of last year. I don't have many pics of it, but the paint was peeling on the bumper, the rear bootlid was rotting away, and it needed a general tidy. However importantly it was mechanically perfect, and the sills/arches are also fantastically solid!

Here's a pic of it before the Mk2.5 Left:

First issue to sort was the bootlid, so with a little searching I found a Ducktail version for sale on here, and by pure luck happened to be down south at the Autosport weekend so perfect opportunity to nab it! Was promptly professionally painted and fitted.

Then the front end was professionally painted to tidy it up. And all cleaned the car was starting to get there!

Then I fitted a Garage Vary front lip along with TRS front tow strap:

As well as a smaller MOMO wheel, chrome vent surrounds and TRLane rear roll bar:

And throwing on some clear repeaters meant it looked like this! :

Then added clear repeaters to match:

And up to date, yesterday I got some paint and did this to my crash pad:

And have got some arty shots from the DSLR:

And obligatory toy to match car's name.... this is Pingu! lol:

Carbon pads mean BBS wheels need constant cleaning!

And to prove it's being enjoyed..... a trackday Knockhill. Note SLS and GTR in background didn't take long to catch up! lol

The car will be on a Eurotrip to the Nurburgring and Spa at the end of the month. Will get pics up when we're back!

Cheers, EM177

Have been busy again. Added some new TSI's to the front, and a black rear slam panel at the rear tongue outopcorn:

Apologies for the wet filthy car and crap photos!

That Racing Puma looked absolutely fantastic on track. Don't suppose there's a build thread of it anywhere?

I have some pics of it as well from my DSLR. Will make a Photobucket album up and post the link.

And ye video would be ace! Cheers mate!

Updated my post. There's no build thread of it. He's not really into posting stuff on the net, but it's Focus RS engined, fancy diff, water injection etc. It's around 330hp at the moment. I have it firmly in my sights when my 5 is back after the engine build smile

Hope to see you up there again, I'll say hello this time.

I love the Racing Puma, the standard one is a bit of a giant killer, I can only imagine how pleasant yours is to throw round a track.
