The old T5 was bought to tow the horse box and be my daily drive, but over the years it has developed in to a quick, fun, weekend car that is also used for a few track days.

Projects are never finished and this one is no different. Plans for this year are to change the oil cooling set up again to cope with the excess heat on track via a different sump and larger oil cooler, stronger actuator as I loose 6psi from peak boost (26psi) to 7500rpm, an intercooler upgrade and a 6speed gearbox. With that lot im hoping to reach double the bhp that the car came with as standard, only 30bhp to find.

Love the car but I'd like to see the standard grille back on. Are those wheels wearing Federal 595RS-Rs?
I don't like the standard grille as im not a big fan of chrome. Yep, 595rsr in 235/40/17. How do you rate the tyres?

Have you thought about wrapping it or giving it a paint?

Perfectly happy with the grille that's fitted now.How do you rate the tyres?
I rate the tyres very highly, you do have to get temperature into them for them to work well and standing water is best avoided, but other than that they seem to wear very well.

great car . . . can you tell us what changes it took so far to get that power? thanks . .
Thanks
The actual list is long, but the main parts are:-Forged rods
NA cams
Volvo S60R manifold
Garrett 3071R turbo
3" exhaust system
750cc injectors
Custom mapping
Electronic boost controller
Obviously I've left out all the supporting mods such as worry gauges, cooling, clutch/diff, handling and braking.

Phwoar that's seriously tasty... Forgive me as i'm not that well up on Volvo stuff, how hard is a 6 speed box to come by and which model was it sourced from? I presume you have an LSD fitted? How much do you rekon it's cost you so far excluding the purchase price of the car?
I currently have the M56 5 speed box that is standard for my car. This has a Quaife diff fitted, brilliant on the road as most of the time you don't know its there i.e completely silent, but on track, on my car it allows the inside front wheel to spin up on exit of a corner on full power. A change of diff is needed, so might as well change the gearbox too.The 6speed box can be found in either FWD or AWD format from cars such as S60R/V70R, S60/V70T5, V50T5 and not forgetting the Ford Focus ST225.
As for that last question, my answer is simply this................sticks fingers in ears whilst singing lalalalalalalalalalaala

Awesome thankyou for the info. Haha! Don't worry I don't blame you, plenty of things in my life i've not wanted to know how much they've cost! The 6speed box can be found in either FWD or AWD format from cars such as S60R/V70R, S60/V70T5, V50T5 and not forgetting the Ford Focus ST225.

I haven't been in this car (yet
) but T5D5 did get past me (I obviously let him past!) at Castle Combe last year. The flame out the exhaust is HUGE.
T5D5 do you still have that video I sent you of the RR flame? I think the PH massive would like it
