My GT-R after a bit of spit and polish

Had the R35 detailed today by Barry @ AutoDetox and decided to take a few pictures of the old girl...

When I bought the car 12 months ago I wanted something a little different to the normal look and ended up buying this from Middlehursts with Nismo wheels and exhaust making it look a little like a V-Spec although I didn't realise this until afterwards when I was asked if it was one!

It was also purchased with the Nismo ECU upgrade which appeared to sharpen the throttle response with some minor other adjustments but no increase in power, and for a £1,000 I'm not sure I would of bothered if it hadn't been sold as part of a bundle of bits.

So now it's running a Litchfield Stage 2 conversion equating to somewhere in the region of 580hp, but I'm going back to see Iain next Wednesday to complete the package by way of a Stage 4 conversion (620hp) and a brake upgrade swapping the OEM discs for Alcon disks with Pagid RS-29 pads and Eiback anti roll bars front and rear.

I like that, it looks a lot different to the rest but not too OTT. The exhaust is the most obvious change really.

Loving that Nismo kit, the exhaust especially. Have you been able to compare it to a standard GT-R to see how much better / louder the Nismo exhaust is?

Looks like they did a top notch job on the detailing too, looks like a brand new car to my eyes.

I absolutely love these cars. Yours looks especially fantastic.
I had a ride in a friend's GTR in February and even on wet/icy roads it redefined "bloody fast" for me.

Those wheels and the exhausts work really well with what is, IMO, the best colour for the GTR. Love it
