Hi all,
Here's my cosmic grey 55 plate EP3. It is the final edition before the EP3 was discontinued so it has a load of non-essential but enjoyable features, i.e. red carpets and momo steering wheel.
The pictures are not great, some taken in the rain in the dark and some just in the dark!
For the past 4 years I have driven the 1.4 Civic, and the 1.6 v-tec so it seemed like a natural progression to move the the Type R (notwithstanding the cost of insurance)
The condition is astonishing considering it has been on the road for 6/7 years, aside from one tiny (tiny) mark on the rear bumper it looks inside and out as if it has just come off the production line. (oh and the milk I spilt in the boot today - christ)
I am over the moon!

Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but your car has the wrong seats for a premier edition. Usually your car would have black and red recaro's, and non-premier facelifts would have the type r seats with the red centres.
I can only guess that someones flogged the recaro's at some point and put pre-facelift seats in your car.

Yeah I was aware the premier edition was meant to have Recaro's. Your guess is as good as mine but I imagine that is what happened. I can only guess that someones flogged the recaro's at some point and put pre-facelift seats in your car.
However, I believe they are not pre-facelift as the centre holes in the seat are not split. (as with pre 2004). So I presume they are facelift non-premier.
If that makes any sense!

I believe the claimed figures are around 31 combined, 40 motorway, 20-something town. As for the reality I can't say as I have only filled it up a couple of times. But my 'gut' feeling is that petrol consumption isn't excessive and I have been stretching its legs. One thing I have noticed in comparison to the 1.6 vtec is the motorway revs. Despite the 2 litre engine and the 6th gear (which you can use at any speed over 25mph for fuel efficiency when required),due to the gearing, revs are in fact higher than the 1.6 alternative at motor way speeds.

Downhill left hander on cracked shell grip in the wet I must say, that does not look all that "Premier" edition to me. The seats are the same as the ones in my 2005 Civic (which is not a premier) but mine have red centre sections, and that steering wheel is the same as the one in my car too. Some of the earlier cars in 2005 were not premiers, mine falls into that bracket and by the looks of things yours does too. Red carpets are available to buy, there have been a few guys on the Type R owners forums who have taken a UK CTR and upgraded it to JDM spec by buying all of the parts seperately.
Anyway, a stunning car, I certainly love mine. Get a loud exhaust on there and do that wonderful engine some justice, a Spoon N1 would go nicely I think!

No i've not yet, thankfully! I'm going to take it relatively easy in the wet for a [long] while. You've got the best colour combo too

I found it quite easy and predictable to drive in the wet...You've got the best colour combo too

Ha first night on a roundabout outside mcdonalds in -3 conditions! roads dry aswell. and she wont drive it cause of the worst one that she witnessed. nice car but mines is a 56 plate so the 55 plate can't have been the last of them as stated!
