Just thought I'd add a few pics of my BRM. Owned for the last 3 years. Bought it with head gasket issues, repaired that and had a faultless 3 years. Was boggo standard when I got it. Won't bore all with too many pics but this is it before it gets tucked away for a full rebuild.

Have added plently of one off touches but won't list them all.

Have loads more pics but doubt many on here will want to see too many. Hope to soon be doing a full restoration. Doesn't really need it but as these are getting pretty rare now especially mint ones, I think it deserves it.

Comments and criticism welcome, although I might not like criticism!

Usually I prefer the MG models over the normal Rovers but in this case its an exception! A really tidy looking car smile

I also couldn't help but notice that the guy has tied his dog to his alloy in the first pic!

Cheers,

The ZR 160 is basically the same car. But built worse!

Thought not biggrin

Really tidy car, lovely to read about it. What's the mileage? I guess it was made in 1998, 1999?

It's currently on 72k. But it won't increase much now. As its run out of MOT and is being put in the garage for a while. Collecting some bits so I can improve or replace worn items

That's an interesting oversimplification!

As an aside, I just picked up a 143VVC engine with oil/water mix, but uncooked on around 25K miles.
£160.
The head is pretty much perfect.

Great cars and cracking value at the moment, rarer than most hot hatches too. A friend of mine had one briefly and I couldn't believe how fast and nice it was compared to other 200s i'd been in, definitely on the shopping list..

A very cool car indeed. thumbup I wanted one of these so badly when they where new. Much classier than the MG imho.

The car looks fantastic, very well looked after smile

I think I have only ever seen one other one in the flesh, would love a go in one.

Stunning interior, looks like new ! I've looked at a 25 GTI before, is it similar to that?

what's the story/reason behind the contrasting orange front grills on these?

Is it some sort of motorsport callback? Always wondered as the green/orange seemed an odd combo.

Very cool / unusual little cars these.

They look great as well provided you don't catch a glimpse of the front. Why anyone thought the bright orange gumshield looked good I'll never know (and yes I know why they have it, but it still looks ridiculous).
