Audi A2 Starter Motor

Starter motor has gone on my cherished Audi A2

first problem i've had with it

would usually try a breakers but the cars as rare as a hens tooth

any ideas where i would get one apart from a extortionate dealer?

got a new rad cooling fan in frame for a mk4 gti golf for just £40 with a 3 month warranty yesterday.

very good guys and very helpful to my son when he called them.

what A2 do you have as theres loads of other cars that use the same starter. for example the 1.4TDi uses the same as the Golf 1.9TDi.

Both mine had problems with alternators and batteries. Something to do with the earth and them being aluminium.

One was a 2005 1.6 FSI Sport with cherry red leather. As rare as merry-go-round horse st.

The first one I had had a 6' dent in the wing, the repair centre wanted £2750 to fix it because apparently aluminium bodywork experts are more expensive or some tosh like that.
