ERF KV series (Gestetner)

Posted a quick topic a while back but only had poor pictures, for you thats interested heres some pictures of it from the weekend at Carlisle at Boarder City Steam fair, Its an ERF KV Series with a four cylinder Gardner 70 engine, every nut and bolt restored, all the body was re done using aluminium. just in the process of putting living acomodation in the rear.

Absolutely stunning. A lot of hard work must of gone into that.

Not sure about the old stuff but I worked on the last ERF's (EC11,ECS,ECT,ECX) they weren't a bad workhorse.

not the best pics, imacualte all done inside too, cost 10K just for the cab restore, theres a leather diamond stitch engine cover not in the pic

That really does look stunning, I would love to go back to those days and see these sorts of vehicles on the road.

that was sold a while ago, the current owner has it on ebay, that sounds imense, perkins v8 diesel

thats the one, solid truck it is, sounds amazing like i say, i painted the chevrons etc on it, these are the inlaws trucks by the way, wasnt really a fan of the d series to look at

why is the number plate confusuing, heres his other truck, 1942 AEC Matador rare bonnet version built for the military.like the plate on this also but cant see it in the pic' 7 UP

That looks cool, as does the red Mack truck next to it which reminds me a bit of the Convoy film.

I remember when those ERFs were in everyday use.

yeah they where popular back in the day, just nice that on the rally field its mostly 70-80- spec ones and not the twin window 60 kv spec which makes it alittle more special
