Honda Civic Type R EP3 - Facelift
Discussion
Hey, been using this site for a while now. Only just joined up since im already a member of more forums than I can keep track of. But im bored & thought I may as well add another. Especially with this being one of the biggest car sites out there.
Anyway enough of the boring stuff. Heres my Civic.

Bought it last December & been loving it.
Bits done so far:
Alloys Refurbed
Calipers Painted Red
K&N Tyhoon Induction Kit
Sub, Amp & Custom Enclosure
Custom Type R Door Sills
Custom 'R' Battery Cover
2.5" Bore B-Pipe & Cobra 4" Slash Cut Jap Can. All unsilenced - soon to change B-pipe to a silenced one since its just too loud at the moment. First time ive messed with exhausts & didnt realise just how noisy an unsilenced bigger bore system would be.
Current list of "To Do" bits:
2.5" Silenced B-Pipe as said above.
Eibach Pro Springs - 15mm rear & 20mm front
New grooved discs (possibly drilled or dimpled), Brembo pads & braided hoses
FRSU
Re-map for current bits & to hopefully tide me over until I can afford a K100
Full machine polish & dent repair
When the inevitable happens & ive caught my alloys a few times during the next refurb Im thinking of painting them Gunmetal grey, bronze or Gold too.
May also upgrade the Induction kit to a Gruppe M or Tegiwa M depending on funds.
Thanks for looking.

Lovely car, good to see another EP3 owner. I have a similar exhaust, 2.5" unsilenced B pipe with a straight-pipe backbox with a sleeved can over it with a 4" tip, loud aint it? You'll miss it when you put a silenced B pipe on though
Definitely my favourite mod to the car, sounds like a touring car above 4500rpm!
As for a remap, if you don't already have a Hondata upgraded ECU you won't be able to map at all until that is done. Don't upgrade your manifold to a race manifold + decat until you can remap, or the car will run lean and that's not so good for the engine.

Ah, didnt know that about the map. Thanks for giving me heads up. I'll just skip that until I get a K100 then
& yeah, I am definitely going to miss the noise. But its just not suitable for where I live & not fair on neighbours at 6:45 every morning. Plus ive got a couple of 3hour motorway journeys to make over weekend & I know its just going to get right on my nerves! Weighing up the pros of the noise with the reality of every day use I have to make the tough & sensible decision
As long as it still pops & burbles i'll be happy.
Ive actually got a couple of sound files of it.
Inside car with windows down, still:

Havent got my camera at the moment so had to use my phones voice recorder hence the rubbish quality. & it was chucking it down which is why its recorded inside the car. Doesnt do justice to how loud it actually is & you cant really here the pops & burble but you get the idea.
