Hi all!

Long time lurker here showing everyone my pride and joy. This is my first car that I have for 2 years since I was 17 and I can't imagine ever selling it. anyway here it is in all its glory







However, the car is ruined by having a multitude of scratches and key marks that were apparent when my granddad had the car. These below images show these and I was wondering if there are any suggestions to help me fix them?













Also, I went to the lake district with the missus last year. It was rather hot and a 2 litre bottle of pepsi foamed up and splashed onto my driver seats. I have tried to steam clean them but to no avail. I may attempt to use a 'fabric shampoo' to get the stain out of my seat.

We had a SEAT in the family and the seats stained at the slightest thing - I found if you cleaned the whole seat, rather than just the dirty bit, it seemed to dry more evenly.

Can't really help with the scratches, but again, ours picked up a lot of marks too - made worse that it was metallic black, so they really showed up. One of the scratch filler crayon type things might make them less obvious but at the end of the day they need painting and it might not be worth it. We tried a SMART repairer for some damage to the bonnet (done by a stray firework!) and it looked good at first but deteriorated over time.

I have had decent quotes for resprays of the particular panels. The seats have gone a lot better but, still needs something to lift the sugar out I think. Just wonder if it would be worth the cost.

could you try hiring like a wetvac thing, which you spray on chemicals/water, and then vaccum it out.

or on a really hot day (not that we are getting many) take the seats out and give them a wash? and by wash i mean damp sponge dabbing on to try and lift the stain out abit more.

a decent wet dry vac should clean them seats up get all the sticky st from them

don't bother hiring one at £35 quid

much better to buy one then ebay it and get your money back

Some of those first few minor marks look like a good t - cut and machine polish would sort them out to be honest.
For the rest they have mobile paint repair men that come out now and normally aren't too pricey
