My AX GTi & MR2
Discussion
MR2 GT *In THE SCRAP YARD IN THE SKY AS OF MARCH 2013*
1991, 170bhp, 107,000 miles on the clock, numerous previous owners. Scabby Paintwork
Got her through PH as a run about in May 2011 so I could find myself an AX to do up

Awesome parking

Off to the scrapyard:

My AX GTi
1992, 95bhp, 15,500 miles on the clock, 1 previous owner. Needs some work
Bought her on the 14th november 2011 with 13,000 miles on the clock, she was owned by a disabled lady who had had her from new.

I fitted these wheels temporarily whilst I replaced 2 tyres (they were the originals from when it was made so were way past best)

And put on my PH sticker

She is back to standard wheels now so doesn't scrub anymore but I did love the look of the specials, once the MR2 is back on the road I will get some bit sorted on the AX: Sunroof has been glued in as a bracket snapped, rear view mirror has been glued in position, replacement windscreen (with mirror), fit GTi badge that is missing & general tidy up.
Photo's replaced due to broken links

Lovely AX mate, can't remember the last time I saw any model of the AX, let alone a GTI! You planning to get another daily? Your a brave man, indeed, for using one on these as your DD!
I'm a brave woman
It terrifies me watching people come flying up behind me if im stopped at lights or junctions, just in case! I am planning on doing my bike test in the not so distant so I shall have a bike as my daily (cheaper than another car)I had someone stop me last week asking if I would sell, people have told me I should have asked how much etc but i'm just not interested in selling her right now, the smile she puts on my face is worth more to me right now.

Another ex-GT owner here, loved mine too, any shots of the interior?
Interior shots are something I really need to do, my boot is a mess at the moment though as the parcel shelf lining is coming unstuck & my boot is filled by a dirty great big sub haha!rustyabarth said:
Absolutley loved my GTi, only had a few months with it, was very rusty but went like a rocket and that classic lift off oversteer was brilliant fun
She is my 4th AX, 2 of them have been GTi'sEdited by axgizmo on Tuesday 10th November 12:08
