Abarth 500 Silverstone Classic
Discussion
Hello all, have been hanging around for a while so thought I would stick my car on.
This Abarth 500 car was driven in the BSM Centenary Abarth 500 Celebrity Challenge at the 2010 Silverstone Classic event.
The car started life as standard showroom specification then had a few extras fitted. Fitment of the esseesse upgrade was undertaken by the Abarth network whilst Racing Repertoire co-ordinated the installation of cages, etc.
Extras fitted include:
Abarth esseesse performance upgrade kit
(esseesse kit includes; 17” lightweight alloy wheels, cross drilled brake discs, performance pads, up-rated suspension spring set, Abarth upgrade ECU, BMC performance air filter)
Abarth Monza exhaust which together with the kit takes the standard cars 135 bhp up to the region of 165 bhp
Abarth Corse seats by Sabelt
Bespoke safety cage by “Custom Cages” in Daventry compliant with MSA Blue Book requirements
4-point Toora Competizione “Safe 4” safety harness
Toora fire extinguisher to “AFFF” standard.
The race the cars participated in was the “Abarth 500 Celebrity Challenge” held as part of the 2010 Silverstone Classic and in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for research into bowel cancer.

The above car was sitting around at the dealer for about a year before I decided to take it off their hands.
I've not done much in the way of my own modifications yet. I may keep it as it is for now and upgrade as things break...No real problems so far and it has a full manufacturers warranty so not too worried.
Here's a couple of pics,

Here in good company at the Bristol Italian car day.

One last one for now, Hope I haven't bored you yet..
