Some of my old cars
Discussion
As above
26 now and have had some interesting cars in the past years.
Have had 4 cars this year just seem to get bored so easy then move on.
I have had 5 Imprezas since I was 19. I just find them lovely to drive and love the flat four soundtrack.
But the best car I have owned to date was the Carbon Black M3 I just sold. Beautiful to drive, so comfy and brilliant on long journeys - Why did I sell it?? Got offered alot more money than I needed for it so took that and bought a Impreza STI hatch - TBH I was not a fan of them until the day I went to see it.
My plans were to go and buy a Escort Cosworth - Much to the whining of my misses as an Escort is to old.....Women know nothing. Was also looking at RS4s and actually a bit of everything........
But some reason I was drawn to this. Not a huge fan of the hatch I took it a spin and fell in love with it. Nice sharp handling and DCCD and pretty fast out the box. I managed to find one with some extras. Prodrive exhausts, sports cat, rally armour mudflaps, Prodrive map. 1 lady owner aswell :-)
Picked it up a few weeks ago got her home and booked her in to get every stonechip removed from it. Put a HKS panel filter and GFB BOV on it and here we are.
Plans are to lower it a tad, and put a full stainless system and keep the PD backbox.
All bought with my own money no mummy to assist or loans ect.

My 2nd M3 - Bought in March to replace the Evo
I opted for CSL front paddels, really liked the look of them. Got Carbon Fibre ones which I thought looked ok.
CSL wheels
BMW Numberplate surrounds
Depo indicators
Black front grills
Stainless system
Lowered 25mm - Sat perfect imo.
Might not be to everyones taste but I loved it. 2 owners from new and I had both sides resprayed under BMW warranty 2 months ago. So was immaculate.

My Evo 8 MR FQ340 - Bought on New Years Eve, sold it the day after my Birthday March 15th. I ran this and my white M3 for a while until I sold that.
This was a strange car.
I bought it and it wasnt running that well so I..
New fuel pump
Remap to 388 or 382 can't mind now
3 port boost solenoid
The mapper thinks the car had an Evo 9 engine in it with cams ect but never opened the engine to find out. I was not to fussed tbh. I was not a great fan of the car. Didn't like the way it drove. In all honesty I shouldn't of bought it.
It had alot of money spent on it. I also refurbed the wheels and rebadged it as someone had taken them off. After me selling it local it was then sold on and now believe its in Aberdeen. My mate sent me a photo of it last week :-)
The Evo

My first E46 M3 - Loved this car but it had a grey interior...Was not a fan of this... Loved it at the time tho.
Nothing wrong with this car had a full system, lowered, funky 19s, full ACS Carbon interior and seat backs from BMW.
It had a tiny bubble on the rear 1/4 and instead of repainting that I had the whole car inside and out resprayed in BMW Alpine white...Stuck a private plate on it aswell then sold the car. I bought it in September last year and when the snow came I was so annoyed i wanted to sell it. So bought the Evo and kept this for a couple of months aswell then sold the M3.
When she was blue

Excuse the small plate my brain shat itself for a bried moment

My Impreza ST Prodrive - Kept this 18months - The longest I have kept a car. Still see it nowagays
Bought this bog standard and went to far with it. Got it running 389bhp then got offered the right money so sold it.

Then before that I had..
Impreza WRX Bugeye - 330bhp
Impreza UK Turbo 2000 - 300bhp
Impreza 2ltr Sport non turbo - Owned this 3 months until i realised I could insure a turbo
Focus 1.8 16v
Vectra SRI
106 Quicksilver
Saxo 1.1
Saxo 1.0
Nova 1.2 4 speed
Escort 1.3bonus RS Turbo replica - Everything but the engine. Bought this when I was 14/15 to work on in my garden, drove it 3 times on my provisionl then Mr ROT got to her.
Hope this all makes sense. Doing this inbetween doing my work :-)

Thanks buddy.
E46 M3s a lovely car. I haven't driven a car so perfect before. I prefer it to the E92 M3 aswell. I just think it drives alot better.
If you want to go hard it can handle is and same with if you want to just cruise.
A little note if you do get one. Buy decent tyres. I bought cheap ones STUPIDLY and they are lethal.
Continental Sport contact 3s are AWESOME. Even in the wet with it being RWD. They kept me between the ditches anyways and thats saying alot.

We're the m3's you've had all manual? Heard mixed responses to the smg ones. Closest I've had to an m3 was my e46 320, was 19 at the time, all insurance would allow on my budget really. Never actually bin in an e46 m3, my day will come I'm sure. Was planning to put csl wheels onto mine but it never happened. You got any more plans for anything new In the future? Get a csl ;D
Would love a CSL.
Both 6 speed manuals.
SMG seems to be hit and miss from peoples experiences I know. When they fail they usually fail in a big way but I would love SMG one. Fast response on the changes aswell.
I suppose its the same with any car anything can fail at somepoint in its life.

Thanks lads.
The Black M3 was a cracker.
Every option from the factory
Electric Bolsters
DVD sat Nav
In car phone kit
HK Sound system
I really do love the car, seen it the other day aswell.
I would have another E46 M3 again. Would need to be Laguna Seca Blue and a SMG one aswell I think.
You can pick them up very cheap aswell, its alot of car for not that much money. But I did pay top dollar for the black one but it was worth it. Felt like a new car.
Every piece of work ever done was at BMW.
Most of my old cars are local now so see them quite alot. The blue Impreza is a sorry state tho the new owner hit a wall when drunk and tore the side out of it last year. Still drives it about tho haha.

The white M3 was a utter bugger to do.
My 2 mates are time served painters so we prepped it ourselves ect. It took ages.
We did a full colour change by working at nights after work in about 2 weeks. It was perfect no imperfections at all.
That was inside the door shuts, under the boot everything :-) Putting it back together was not fun.

IMO the Evo was comfier and delivered the power smoother but the Impreza's are just more fun to drive in my opinion.
BUT you do really need to own a Evo. They are fun cars. I would own one again tbh. Would like a 9 or 10 at some point but will see what happens.
So many cars out there I want to try.
Fancy trying
RS6
RS4
R32 MK5 Golf
Supra
Another M3 but a SMG
I don't know just see what happens, I never really plan to sell a car just get offered money at the right times.
