Well, I appear to have issues with getting bored over the weekend, and finding things to buy! Here is this Sunday's purchase, an early import Eunos Roadster (1.6 I think??)

Comes with a few months of tax and test
Genuine Factory Hardtop
And a lot of polishing needed!!

And it cost less than an evening meal and cinema, so I really cant complain at that!

Pics, as would be asked, although please excuse quality, poor cheap mobile shots, ill get some more when I pick her up tuesday evening

Well last time I went to the cinema and evening meal (for two I add) it cost me circa £140, so yup! I now need to sweet talk the valeter at work to see if I can take it in Wednesday on my day off, and machine polish it, and give it a damn good clean all over!

If that's a polished rocker cover it's worth about £70 by it's self!

MX-5 Numptie here, so do excuse. It looks filthy, but when I rubbed it almost like a mirror finish? Is that a standard item thats rare then?

Utter, utter bargain! £40 has never been better spent!! You could leave it in it's current condition and still have so much fun! I took my MX5 out in the dark for the first time last night, and driving along with the stars overhead has to be one of the best things ever!!!

Im bringing it into work on Wednesday, machine polishing it, spraying the wheels back to silver (or maybe gold?) and ive managed to secure a pair of untorn seats for £35.

So it should be looking pretty spiffy soon! Will take pics. There are no plans to go crazy with it, just enjoy!

Certainly not a cardboard cut out, it had a few problems, of which im slowly sorting out! The hardtop is up for sale, I dont need or want it, I want open air driving!

Yesterday was a day off work, so the following happened (pics to follow when im home)

Full Clean in and Out, The Hood is Tan now! - Work Valeter is mopping it next weekend for me, will help!
Oil and Oil Filter Change - £Nil
Pipercross Panel Filter £36
Diagnosed faulty window motor - £35 from scrappy - sorted

Clutch however felt high, and after a spirited driving session, although its not slipping yet, it will be very soon. So todays ebay hunting got me a brand new clutch for £58 delivered next day, and my dads Technician (proper mazda chap) is fitting it saturday morning FOC.

MOT booked for the 8th Sept, just over a month early at work, FOC, so hopefully itll be MOT'd, with a fresh clutch, new service, and all mopped in just under two weeks! Should be a really reliable bit of Bangernomics open top motoring for the winter!

Come Summer time, its up for sale!

Having spent ages looking for MX5s and not finding anything decent under £1500, I am unspeakably jealous of this! Does it have any rust?

Its had the sill welded 3 times in different bits (and not the tidiest) on the pass side, once on the drivers side. Has a spot on the front wing from a lil dink its recieved (need to find a wing really) and the archs are pretty solid. It was looked after reasonably, no advisories last MOT, hoping to find none in two weeks time either!

Hardtop has got to be worth £200-400 on it's own depending on the time of year you sell.

Would be worth a good bit more in Autumn/Winter.

Some pics I meant to upload;

The night it came home - attempted to use a lil G3

Next day I took it to work, where my valeter cleaned the hood, and I used several rounds of acid on the wheels, to see if they had any life left - they dont so will be resprayed, but look ok for a few weeks - mopping in a weeks time

A few other toys in the background!

Took a couple of pics yesterday on my lil drive - hood looks pretty good - not perfect though

The hardtop I need to sell

And then last night, ready for work this morning

Dropped it off at the workshop - new clutch, Bolty our tech is coming in a 0630 to fit that, and new window motor for me! He is damn good!
